Random Snaps With the New Camera

Image
This is actually one of my first pictures with the camera; I snuck onto some private beach to catch the last light of sunset. Well, I continue to fall in love with my new baby, for obvious reasons. It's provided me with a little bit of inspiration that I sorely needed this summer after suffering from a bout of "photographer's block". Anyway, I've been out photographing some random things this past week, namely our cat (again), and Peterson Park (again). Old subjects, new camera. And hopefully a new take. Not too many words this time, because I'm tired and achy after a bike accident today. Just pictures.

Sunrise, Sunset, and Everything in Between

It's been a while since my last blog post, partly because I've been away in Canada for a little while, and partly because I've been busy playing around with the new camera I just got. I dearly loved my old Olympus E-620, but it was crippled by glitches and three years of heavy use, and about to bite the dust. So, finally, I bit the dust and bought a new camera, the Olympus OM-D (for anyone who's curious). Through some miracle of persuasion, my sister recently convinced my parents to let us get another cat. I was initially skeptical of the idea, and remained so right up until I actually met her.... And, well, she's rather hard to resist. I'm pretty sure there are laws in some countries forbidding anything this cute. It's also incredible just how small she is... She can sit comfortably in the palm of my hand. Though she really does very little sitting; this blog entry has been rather complicated to write, in fact, since a certain small furry thing has been bouncing around me, playing with the keyboard and my shirt. At the moment, she's seated on my shoulder, batting at my hair.  We have not, as of yet, decided on a name for her. My vote was "Cthulhu", but for some reason that got voted down. We're always open for suggestions.
